Our customer, Eric, had already planned out
where he wanted the stripes to go on the wall and what colors him and his
wife had picked out.
After painting the bathroom ceiling, walls and woodwork, I used a level (I
put tape on the level to keep the walls clean) and lightly made my pencil
lines.
I used painter's tape (blue) and it worked
really well. No bleed-thru on the edges like with regular masking tape.
Here I am removing the tape the next day
after the stripes are dry. Notice I am pulling the tape into the color. It
may help to keep the painted edge sharper.
Here's the finished product. The other walls
are painted either solid green or solid blue. This is the only wall with
the stripes. This is
the prettiest painting job we have ever done. Eric and his wife are good at picking
out colors that look like the beach scene.
Not to brag or anything, but these
pictures really don't do it justice, compared to actually being
there and seeing the finished job.
Thanks for visiting this page. Check back in
a month or so and maybe I'll have some new on-the-job painting pics for
you to see
